Fall

April 13, 2011

It’s finally starting to feel like fall in central Texas; beautiful mild days and cool, crisp nights with the windows open.  Fall means two things: pumpkins and holiday knitting. We picked up these awesome pumpkins from a church in our neighborhood. They’re from a Navajo reservation in Four Corner’s, New Mexico.  I love knobby heirloom veggies, but I’d never seen heirloom-type pumpkins before! So naturally I ended up with one of each.

Jackon’s knitting project is still a bit behind schedule, but I couldn’t resist buying yarn for this year’s round of holiday knitting.

Isn’t it delicious?! This color’s called apple cinnamon. It’s for a yet to be determined project for the in-laws.

Now if only it was cold enough to start making soup!
